Circle B Bar Reserve

Last week I made another trip to Lakeland, Florida to "house sit" for my brother Bill and his wife Rhonda. While always glad to help them out, I always enjoy photographing the animals, birds, and landscape opportunities there. When you live in a big city like Atlanta it is so difficult to find challenging but interesting  bird sites to photograph. In Lakeland it is refreshing to be able to get up and drive 4 miles and find yourself in some serious bird territory.  http://www.polk-county.net/subpage.aspx?menu_id=52&nav=res&id=6040 The land is owned by the county and is dotted with water sites in sizes from puddles to lakes. The current season is when the nesting birds are everywhere. Nesting Black SwansBlack Swans on Eggs A nesting pair of owls and a pair of Great Blue Heron are currently being watched by many Circle B visitors. GBH Pair on High Nest If you are in central Florida within the next two months you will find wonderful photo opportunity just about everywhere.

If you enjoy my photography look around at some of the other galleries and you may find that perfect canvas of nature at its best that would make an interesting conversation piece in your home or office. I would certainly be appreciative for your patronage.
